—Each year around this time I release a candle, an homage to a, or the, summer flame.
A long slow burn. —Slower.
A candle burning in a mirror is an illusion more than anything,—until the flame goes out; and in darkness you can see the unseeable. It is often difficult to decipher which is the source of the light, the candle or the mirror. Though, It can be captivating—It’s flit amongst the bottles dancing; in the bar-backs of the favored haunts. — Take a moment, if you will, and view yourself reflected in a mirror with only candle light. “Hi.” —“Hi”

Edith Wharton described it as how light or knowledge is spread: you can be the source of the light —the candle or you can be the one who helps to spread it further—the mirror. There appears to be, as I have come to believe in recent years, a homeostasis that exists where in which you are both.
An eternal flame, reflected back and forth forever. —Forever.
