Lovers Lantern I
I read a story once, titled “How to Write a Love Letter”- I was probably 13 years old. And while my memory wants to adjust its intention to something far more breathtaking and beautiful, in truth I believe it was really a “how to” instructional attempt at composing a love letter. That said I believe it started with two people falling in love. And there was a narrative, moments captured, benign clichés, but charming. As if it were describing these two characters’ lifetimes play out together. Again my memory expects that, me, as is my nature, added to the details of the story. Where a probable tale of a shared uncontrollable laughter took place, I likely remember the way the salt content tasted stronger in tears of sadness as opposed to tears of joy. Nostalgia for things that may not even have happened. A sickness I accepted early on. And while in my youth I remember thinking about the type of writing utensil that should be used to compose such a letter; “ink and quill? Fountain? Montblanc?”
These days my suggestion is Papermate Flair Medium. Black of course.
