Originally conceived in 2014 as an experiential restaurant, this kitchen is a study and practice in Alchemy. The materials for the construction as well as the furnishings are all chosen with spiritual intention of the natural growing Earth. Raw ore, copper and iron, silver and gold. Plates, platters, dish-ware and utensils, bowls and lighting in amethyst, jade, quartz crystal, and stone. Walls made of Himalayan rock salt, scraped gently over a plate for a final seasoning. Wood burning stone oven and marvelous mosaic marble surround countertops. From the Shungite prep island surface, pressed earth oxblood clay floors, custom Grassello Lucido Vereziano plaster cathedral walls and catacomb shelving, hand carved hewed and honed oak cabinetry, ionized and mineralized water revival filtration system, irrigating both the household inhabitants as well as the indoor garden whose natural sunlight is supplied from the solar sky tubes above, this environment is dedicated to the wholeness and health of all who dwell here. In addition, the entire structure is a faraday cage. Its exterior completely covered in a shielding material, blocking all EMF and RF frequency radiation. As well as a Quartz crystal dining pendant that utilizes an RLC circuit and coil plate or longitudinal/scalar wave antenna, which restores the vibration of unhealthy cells, in both human body and plants. The preparation as well as consumption of food is a PRAYER. The importance, the emotion and physical intentions of what is put into each meal, is what ultimately will be consumed and experienced. This room, this kitchen, this “heart of the home” is an effort to make that experience a “Holy” one. 

The Gaggenau appliances (DF 481 Dishwasher, RB 492 Fridge-Freezer Combo, VG 491 Cooktop, EB 333 Oven, VP 414 Teppan Yaki and VL 414 Downdraft Hood) are a superior addition to this conceptual kitchen being both the engine and instruments of the culinary craft, as well as completing this vision with a classical and modern refinement. This client is wholesome. Honors tradition and holds nature above all. While for most, an escape from the technical world is a daily battle and a soulful longing, this client slips easily away from the cell phone and constant scrolling feed of images, to imagination, patience and presence. There is an old-world romance to this space. An immediate sense of history and time. Candle light preferred over the newest LED wall wash. 

Entertaining is a whispered secret. 

The meal is a love potion. Garden cuttings, spilled wine laughter, moonset tea.

A ceremony. A ritual.
