COLONNADE

Shelving System. Solid polished brass vertical supports with matte black perforated steel case and oak shelves. Designed and handmade by Jason Koharik, 2015.

Once, in a fever dream, on a tropical island in a rain storm, I installed a 16 foot version of this Colonnade shelving system. A 104° temperature, a seemingly endless pour of rose and colada, poison tree snakes and ferry boat sunsets, and a dance... a bounce, to a silent song I can only describe as, “Miami Baby”.
-There’s a storm outside and the gap between the crack and thunder is closing in.-
